Position: Staffing Coordinator
Location: Stanhope, NJ
Shift: Monday-Friday; 4:00pm-12:00am ( On-Call Weekends - Rotating Weekly)
Job Description:
The staffing coordinator is responsible for ensuring proper shift coverage in order to meet the Agency needs.
Essential Duties: Responsibilities and Essential Duties including but not limited to the following as well as any other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
- Ensure proper coverage of shifts, including being on-call (bi-weekly) for residential and routinely filling vital and vacant shifts as needed.
- Ensure completion of direct support specialist job duties while on shift.
- Review program coverage for residential programs through review of program calendars, including recreational activities and medical appointments.
- Assist in payroll through review of residential employee time cards, reviewing/approving benefit time off requests timely, and limiting overtime when necessary.
- Ensure the residential staff schedules are updated as needed both timely and accurately.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty:
- Must be 18 years or older and possess a valid non-probational driver’s license.
Additional Requirements, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Clearance from the Department of Human Services following a federal and state background check, as well as checked against the Central Registry, Child Abuse Record Information, and the List of Excluded Individuals/Entities.
- Pre-employment physical; Pre-employment tuberculosis test; Pre-employment, random, and for cause drug screen as required by The State of New Jersey Department of Human Services.
- Clearance based on a 3-year and annual motor vehicle abstract assessment.
- Must be able to successfully complete required training which includes, but is not limited to:
American Red Cross Adult CPR and First Aid
Crisis Management
Medication Administration with on-site competency assessment
Preventing Abuse and Neglect with on-site competency assessment
Positive Behavior Supports (if applicable)
12 hours of professional development annually per calendar year prorated at one hour per month
Specialized Training as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
