Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Director of Events. As the Director of Events, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various events to ensure a magical and unforgettable experience for our guests. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, challenging and very UNIQUE and FUN environment. We are a family-owned with a creative and tight-knit atmosphere, NOT run-of-the-mill large business or policy driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute all aspects of events, including weddings, corporate meetings, and social gatherings.
- Coordinate with clients to understand their event requirements and provide exceptional guest services, end to end coordination from booking to conclusion of the event.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective event planning
- Manage event budgets and timelines to meet financial goals and deadlines
- Direct catering, sales, and marketing to ensure seamless event execution
-Excecute Contracts with clients and collect payments
-Give tours of facilities
- Oversee event setup, including seating arrangements, decorations, audiovisual equipment, and other necessary arrangements
- Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth operations during events
- Utilize upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities
- Network in the community as a representative for the business
- Maintain and engage in social media to find leads, create sales and book events.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure clear expectations and successful event outcomes
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and hospitality throughout all interactions
Requirements:
- Previous experience in event planning or related field within the hospitality industry is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of banquet operations and restaurant service standards
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software is a plus
