About the Job
Capstone Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities at our distribution centers, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and representing Capstone with our partners.
Daily Responsibilities
- Negotiate rates with common carrier representatives to ensure optimal pricing and service levels.
- Run the site with safety and efficiency as top priorities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Manage daily bank deposits, create work logs, and transmit them to corporate in a timely manner.
- Audit labor and billing reports to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure customer needs are met on a daily basis, resolving any issues that may arise promptly and professionally.
- Document and resolve customer service or associate issues daily, maintaining open lines of communication throughout the process.
- Supervise associates to ensure they follow company policies and work rules, including safety protocols.
- Hold weekly safety meetings and encourage associate participation.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
- Proven ability to provide high levels of customer service to internal and external customers.
- Experience training, coaching, and mentoring warehouse associates.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organization and prioritizing skills, with the ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks.
