Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Legal Assistant to provide critical administrative and legal support to our litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex cases, support senior attorneys, and ensure smooth case management in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts, including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Coordinate and manage case calendars, including court deadlines, depositions, and hearings.
- Organize and maintain case files, both electronically and in hard copy.
- Conduct legal research and compile information for attorneys.
- Assist in trial preparation, including creating trial binders and coordinating exhibits.
- Liaise with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel, ensuring professional communication and timely follow-up.
- Manage attorney schedules and facilitate communication within the litigation team.
- Prepare correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents as needed.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, booking travel, and processing expense reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification preferred.
- 3 years of experience as a legal assistant in a litigation practice group.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, e-filing systems, and court rules.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
