Summary of Responsibilities
In office position responsible for a dual role of:
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with dealers by remote sales development calls in an assigned territory or portfolio of customers.
  • Coordinating with sales team members in the field on sales development calls to provide assistance on potential sales opportunities when representatives are not immediately available. 
Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with dealers remotely by guiding / advising on the company's underwriting practices, programs, and products as well as policies and procedures. Primary focus on day-to-day management of dealer accounts, assisting in the loan process, and providing best-in-class customer service to reach sales targets. Reports to and coordinates with a supervisor (Sales Manager).
 
This position will typically work Mondays from 9am-5pm and Tuesdays-Fridays from 10am-6pm (No Weekends).
 
 
Essential Functions:
  • Remotely maintains business with existing clients in a multistate area from our Grand Rapids Headquarters.
  • Provides immediate follow-up on outstanding approvals given and their current status.
  • Coordinates with field representatives and management to provide dealer support and follow up.
  • Maintain reporting of potential sales opportunities using company CRM (Customer relationship manager).
  • Provides best-in-class customer service through daily interaction with all internal and external associates and dealers.
  • Cultivates relationships with all dealership personnel in order to support growth targets.
  • Provides training on all programs and initiatives.
  • Educates dealerships about new policies and guidelines.
  • May conduct limited in person visits when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • 2 years of sales experience.
  • HS diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to develop business relationships remotely with dealer principals and decision makers.
  • Excellent phone communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain detailed notes in company CRM (Customer relationship manager).
  • Well-developed business management, presentation, and relationship selling skills.
  • High-level of accountability and ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to objectively manage conflicting priorities.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams.
  • Ability to work with PC applications.
Preferred:
  • Business related undergraduate degree is preferred.
  • Sales training experience desired.
  • Telemarketing or equivalent experience helpful.
  • Experience with CRM software (Customer relationship manager).
  • Dealership operations and insurance product knowledge helpful.
Working Conditions:
  • In-office position with high volume of telephone use.
  • Frequently: Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Occasional moving and lifting of equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown.
  • Physically capable of lifting to thirty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
