We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring our company runs smoothly by processing invoices, verifying data, and making timely payments to vendors.
Essential Functions
- Process invoices, including printing, verifying data, and coding for payment.
- Monitor email for invoice inquiries, vendor changes, and other accounts payable issues.
- Retrieve and match receiving reports with invoices, identifying, and resolving discrepancies.
- Enter invoices into accounting software and ensure accurate posting.
- Prepare and process check runs, verify data and balancing accounts.
- Manage ACH payments, including data entry, balancing, and communication with vendors.
- File paid invoices and scan documents for recordkeeping.
- Respond to inquiries from buyers regarding pricing and quantities.
- Handle phone calls from vendors and other departments regarding accounts payable.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
