Job Description
This position focuses on performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, systems, and facility infrastructure to ensure optimal operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting production efficiency by conducting routine inspections, servicing machinery, and identifying potential mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues before they lead to failures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine lubrication and inspection of bearings, gearboxes, motors, rotating assemblies, conveyor belts, elevators, screws, valves, bag houses, generators, fire pumps, infrared scans of power distribution equipment, etc.
- Duties also include non-routine repairs, installation, and service on both electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Will be required to learn all aspects of plant operation, fill in wherever needed to optimize plant efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Able to work 12 hour rotating shifts including nights & weekends as needed.
- Experience with Preventative and Reliability Maintenance including lubrication and inspection of all industrial components.
- A 2-year degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent experience.
- Industrial electrical and mechanical skills as well as the ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical and electrical drawings/schematics.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial equipment. This includes but is not limited to proper lubrication practices, ability to identify defects in bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, mechanical drive systems, etc.
