Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida has an opening for a qualified English Teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for high school English. The High School English Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field.
- Florida Department of Education Certification in English, Education, or related field.
- Three (3) years or more of experience.
- Excellent classroom management skills and have demonstrated ability to engage students.
- Knowledge and skill in use of instructional technology, including iPads, in the classroom.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in the Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Exemplify professionalism in behavior and performance.
