Medical practice in Tampa Florida is seeking a full time (35-40 hr/wk) dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our medical office team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing insurance claims, maintaining accounts receivable, and ensuring accurate posting of payments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Insurance Claims Management:
· Work with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and issues.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance guidelines and policies.
2. Accounts Receivable:
· Monitor and manage patient accounts receivable.
· Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
· Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
3. Payment Posting:
· Accurately post payments from insurance companies and patients.
· Reconcile payments postings with bank deposits.
· Identify and resolve payment discrepancies.
4. Customer Service:
· Collaborate with other team members to improve patient satisfaction.
· Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
· Experience in medical billing or health insurance industry.
· Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance policies.
· Proficiency in billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
