Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Manage and supervise laboratory staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
2. Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient testing processes.
3. Monitor and maintain quality control measures to ensure accurate results.
4. Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of test results.
5. Oversee equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure accuracy and reliability.
6. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
7. Manage inventory and ordering of laboratory supplies.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors for procurement of supplies and equipment.
9. Keep abreast of new developments and technologies in the field of laboratory testing.
10. Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports for regulatory compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Medical Technology, Biology, or Chemistry.
2. Previous experience in a laboratory setting, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
3. Strong leadership and communication skills.
4. Knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
5. Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.
6. Attention to detail and accuracy in testing procedures.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
