Job Summary:
You will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
What You Will Do:
- Maintain general ledger by reconciling key accounts including bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, prepaid accounts and accrued liabilities. Adjusting entries for amortization of prepaid expenses, analyzing accounts payable transactions, preparing fixed asset depreciation and other accrued liabilities
- Review of payroll transactions and prepare entries for the general ledger. Preparing payment requests for payroll related vendors
- Provide financial status information by preparing special reports, completing special projects.
- Review and analysis of contract expenditures. Prepare budgets and periodic reports for contract reimbursement
- Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures
- Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
- Participate in the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures
- Support other team members as needed including accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking transactions
- Assist with the preparation for annual audit and tax return filings
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications
- Review payroll services billing and prepares for payment
What We Need to See:
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years knowledge and experience in bookkeeping/accounting
- A valid driver's license and insurable under Agency's automobile insurance policy
