The Intake Specialist is responsible for performing routine duties to handle incoming G&A submissions and inquiries to route to appropriate G&A Analyst teams, while adhering to compliance and regulated turnaround time standards.
Location: Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy, providing various levels of flexibility while also ensuring that associates have opportunities to connect in-person. Unless in a designated virtual-eligible role and specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
Schedule: This position looks to work shifts from 12pm to 9pm, and 1pm to 10pm. Additional hours or days may be required based on operational needs.

Primary Duties May Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Receiving member or provider requests by mail or fax.
- Reviewing and verifying content for accuracy.
- Entering key information or missing data into system.
- Routing file/submission to appropriate party within designated turnaround times.
- Data Entry experience along with experience in operating basic office equipment, fax machine, copier, PC and basic software applications.
- Requires HS diploma or GED, and a minimum of 2 years related work experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Data entry experience (2 years of work related experience) preferred.
- Basic software application preferred.
- 50 wpm typing in keyboard is preferred
