This position involves providing personal care services to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also assist with mobility and transfers, administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, and monitor vital signs. Additionally, you will provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must be a certified Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA). You should have a strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality. Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed is also essential. Furthermore, you must have satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency, demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills, and be at least 18 years old.
