Home Health Aide Job Description
We are seeking certified home health aides and personal care assistants to provide exceptional care to our clients in the Queens area. As a home health aide with CareConnect, you will play a vital role in ensuring our clients receive the care they need to stay safe at home.
Duties:
- Provide personalized care to patients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, guaranteeing the safety and well-being of patients.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, fostering a sense of community and connection.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, prioritizing their comfort and well-being.
Qualifications:
- Certified Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
- Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency, showcasing commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
- Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills, ensuring effective communication and record-keeping.
- Must be at least 18 years old, meeting the minimum age requirement for this role.
