General Description:
The Administrative Coordinator’s role is to assist in the creation of well-rounded, comprehensive experiences for students at the Career Academy Network of Public Schools. You will work with the District Directors on a variety of projects to enhance the learning of our students while also providing college and career counseling support to students with Career Savings Accounts. In addition, you will manage the tracking and billing for Career Savings Accounts for the network and provide support to our Special Education Director and Curriculum Director. This role is unique in that every day will bring new challenges and learning opportunities, so creativity and flexibility are essential.
Qualifications
· Three or more years experience in an educational field
· Ability to provide college and career counseling
· Flexibility and adaptability to deal with unexpected and last-minute projects
· Basic accounting skills and an understanding of Indiana’s Career Savings Account program as well as Federal Title Grants
· Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Demonstrate technology proficiency including but not limited to Microsoft/Google applications
· Possess the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
· Stamina to handle highly active young people
· Lifelong learner- proven expertise and skills when working with new technologies
· Understanding of curriculum development
· Understanding of special education and the ability to assist with the planning thereof
Primary Responsibilities
· Provide college and career counseling to students with Career Savings Accounts
· Track, manage, and submit for billing items and activities via the Career Savings Account program
· Execute, design, and manage projects for the District Directors as directed, specifically around curriculum, special education, and career and technical programming
· Other duties as assigned
School Activities
· The Administrative Coordinator is required to attend and/or participate in such other activities as directed by the administration such as faculty meetings (before or after school hours), open houses, commencement exercises, chaperoning student activities, guiding students, participating in faculty committees, study and help resolve school problems.
Essential Skills and Abilities
· Ability to use technology for documentation and preparation of professional materials
· Ability to teach and assist students and staff in the use of computer applications
· Ability to provide college and career counseling services via licensure in those areas
· Ability to prioritize tasks, allocate time, and maintain schedule flexibility
NOTE: This position is funded through reimbursements from the Career Savings Account program and continuation of it will be at least partially dependent on the existence of that program as it operates currently.
