Staff Accountant
Schedule: Requiring they work 8 am 5 pm PST hours Mon-Fri
Duration: 4 months
Role Summary:
The Client Staff Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities of the program. The Staff Accountant collaborates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to promote the Client values, team culture and mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate with external claims processor to ensure timely and accurate payment of patient medical expenses incurred outside of the Client facility.
Ensure that all invoices received by the program are either appropriately routed to external claims processor or appropriately coded and paid for by program.
Reconcile monthly payments receives from federal and state governments vs. member eligibility. Work with enrollment function to ensure patients are appropriately enrolled in programs.
Verify that Team Member expense reports are in compliance with policies.
Prepare draft financial reports to be submitted to government agencies quarterly.
Support annual budgeting process.
Support monthly budget reviews.
Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evening nights, weekends and overtime.
Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Protect privacy and maintain confidentiality of all company procedures and information about team members, participants, and families.
Follow Client policies and procedures and participate in any required Quality Improvement activities, staff training and meetings.
Communicate regularly with Supervisor and team regarding workload and priorities.
Timely completion of all mandated trainings and education.
Timely completion of all mandated occupational health screenings as needed.
Exercises flexibility in performing assignments as business needs evolve.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements: Education/Training/Certifications:
Bachelor s Degree in relevant field. Professional experience may be substituted.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum two years of relevant experience.
Extreme attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Experience and competency working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
