Duties:
- To ensure the proper stocking and delivery of all including hut not limited to supplies, linen, equipment, and products throughout the Hospital.
- Maintains accurate PAR levels in the supply rooms, may also include maintaining linen carts, including pillows. Counts and restocks to PAR level.
- Ensures patient-charge labels are created for appropriate products.
- Delivers supplies and equipment in a timely manner to designated area(s) following the standard delivery schedule or other ad hoc request.
- Inspects for expiration, packaging integrity and storage compliance of supplies and IV fluids in accordance with safety and security standards set by various regulatory agencies including the Joint Commission.
- Retrieves any returned products from customer area as necessary and enters the return transaction (RMA) into the Materials Management [PeopleSoft] inventory system.
- Restocks returned products in the proper inventory location.
- Ensures proper and accurate shelf labeling in accordance with the official PAR Count Sheet. Notes changes with Supervisor.
- Performs Omnicell, Floor stock, and OR supplemental order re-stocks.
- Generates par level count sheets for assigned areas using PeopleSoft and counts individual PAR locations to include data entry into PeopleSoft computer.
- May pull the appropriate product as determined by the request / pick ticket document. (Including Restock Request from Automated Dispensing System.
- The position follows directions on a handheld device to locate products and place them into totes. This is done while pushing a cart or pallet/forklift throughout the warehouse.
- Occasionally, a ladder is used to reach items on the top shelves.
Skills:
- Knowledge of medical inventory and distribution procedures.
- Ability to operate computers, area-specific equipment, including materials handling equipment and to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to read and to write legibly.
Education:
- Required- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Required- 1 year materials handling/distribution or customer service
