We are seeking a motivated and experienced Baking & Product Development Manager to join our fast-growing team in Lawrence, MA. This on-site role is ideal for a baker with a strong background in recipe development, production scheduling, and overseeing high-quality manufacturing of baked goods. The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of dough hydration, artisan breads, calzones, and pizza, and will play a key role in managing daily operations and creating innovative products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Manage and develop recipes for a variety of baked goods, including artisan breads, calzones, pizza, and more.
- Create new products to meet market demand, ensuring they meet quality, taste, and texture standards.
- Collaborate with the product development team to fine-tune recipes and improve existing products.
- Oversee daily production schedules to ensure efficient, quality-driven baking operations.
- Manage production workflows to maintain consistency, reduce waste, and maximize output.
- Review inventories for necessary ingredients and materials to ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor and manage quality production runs, ensuring that all baked items meet company standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
- Troubleshoot production issues as they arise and ensure product quality is maintained throughout all stages of production.
- Lead and motivate a team of bakers and production staff to maintain high-quality standards and production efficiency.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence in baking practices.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to track production data, inventory levels, and schedule progress.
- Support the management of raw material inventories and coordinate supply orders to avoid production disruptions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in baking, with a solid understanding of dough hydration, artisan bread production, calzones, pizza, and other baked goods.
- Experience in manufacturing or large-scale production of baked items is a strong plus.
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Knowledge of quality control processes and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Passionate about baking with a strong creative mindset.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- On site position, M-F, 8:00-5:00, located in Lawrence, MA.
