Job Overview
We are a small family owned company seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal fabrication and a strong understanding of various metalworking techniques. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for building and rigging metal structures, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the fabrication process. We fabricate for residential and commercial rain gutter companies and general contractors for any metal needs on new builds and/ or metal projects.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications.
- Utilize power tools, auto brake equipment, and mechanical shear equipment.
- Operate forklifts safely to transport materials within the shop.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and improve fabrication processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in metal fabrication, specifically with sheet metal work.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings is a plus.
- Strong skills in welding, rigging, and using power tools effectively.
- Familiarity with mechanical sheet metal equipment.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
