Carex is partnering with a healthtech industry partner to hire a Data Integrity Engineer. This role will work closely with data engineering and data integrity teams to support and enhance machine learning and advanced analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, expertise in SQL, and experience working with healthcare EDI data in a relational database. This is a direct hire role, and can be fully remote.

This role will work closely with data engineering and data integrity teams to support and enhance machine learning and advanced analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, expertise in SQL, and experience working with healthcare EDI data in a relational database. What You’ll Do
- Evaluate healthcare EDI data for quality and completeness, identifying anomalies in data completeness, claim matching, and denial rates.
- Conduct ad-hoc data analysis, including claims-based research.
- Serve as a data integrity resource, supporting other R&D teams with data validation and insights.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in data analytics or data science, with expertise in querying and analyzing data.
- Strong SQL programming skills, with the ability to write and understand complex queries for data analysis and manipulation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and the ability to communicate solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in statistics as a tool for exploratory data analysis.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with cloud-based solutions and services (AWS, Snowflake preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage across various levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple communication channels and stay actively engaged in meetings, working sessions, and project work.
- Experience in healthcare payer/provider environments.
- Knowledge of claim denials, CPT coding, diagnoses, and DRGs.
- Experience with GitHub, dbt, Docker, and Python.
