Position Summary:
The Operations Data Analyst will be responsible for the management of the Data Collections Specialist and analyzing our internal data for cost reduction opportunities. They will lead continuous improvement initiatives, Red Zone Initiatives, and other cost saving opportunities as they occur.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze multiple sources of data for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Lead projects to reduce rework, support Red Zone productivity, compliance, and learning modules as needed.
- Facilitate data collection projects for Measurement Systems Analysis and other operational tests.
- Help maintain and standardize our multi-site digital environment to make the sites compatible with future systems integration.
- Support D365 integration and manufacturing execution software within the plant.
- Support evaluation and implementation of AI within the production environment.
- Lead six Sigma Meetings, sharing your perspective on potential failure modes.
- Train staff on how to use any newly created data submission templates.
- Communicate and support departments on cost reduction projects.
- Able to travel to facilities in the greater Chicagoland area.
- Maintain professional relationships with people at all levels of the company.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Strong analytic skills a must with advanced use of excel.
- Base level knowledge of database principles.
- Familiarity with production flow, one piece flow, bottleneck calculations.
- Familiarity with iPads/ Apple products.
- Red Zone Experience a plus.
- Continuous Improvement Experience.
- Lean / Six Sigma Training / Continuous Improvement – Yellow Belt preferred.
