Carl Fischer Music is looking for a Production Coordinator to manage all aspects of printing logistics for the Production Department.

A little about the Production teams at Carl Fischer and Theodore Presser
With Offices in Malvern, PA and New York City, our agile team is a lean group of seasoned professionals who edit and produce a wide variety of sheet music products. We’re large enough to be leaders in the industry yet small enough for each employee to make a difference. Still growing with a tight-knit team and a pleasant working environment, we are looking for motivated individuals with high energy and positive attitudes and also offer long-term growth opportunities for high performing individuals. This team produces roughly 250 publications per year.
Responsibilities include:
- Act as project coordinator for a team of sheet music publishing professionals
- Assist editors with creating and maintaining product and composer related data for new and existing publications
- Confirm pertinent information regarding book reprints
- Serve as liaison between production department and the internal print shop
- Maintain close communication with other departments regarding details of production processes
- Report on the status of new items in interdepartmental meetings
- Proof pdfs of print files and artwork
- Assist with the logistics of print collateral for industry conventions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 2 years related experience preferred – music or book publishing a plus
- Classical music background and knowledge is essential
- Strong analytical skills and advanced skills in MS Excel
- Knowledge of macros/VBA/Apps Script (Javascript) a plus
- Familiarity with databases or ERP systems a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Proactive and creative problem solving skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Comfortable with multitasking and with learning new systems and processes
- HTML or any other programming language knowledge a plus
Compensation will depend upon prior experience. Excellent benefits package offered after 3 months of employment.
