Job Description
This position searches for and identifies qualified opportunities, initiates the sales process and drives the opportunities to closure. Requires coordination with the Aftermarket Sales Supervisors and Sales Directors to implement and execute on sales strategies that grow the business. Maintain and grow business with key accounts. Perform a variety of critical sales activities including, but not limited to, preparing quotes, sourcing product, cold calling, material expediting, OTD management, quote follow-up and extended service support, preparation of financial documentation, new account activation, contract management and analysis, and account management. This position requires monitoring of account trends, strategic information gathering, preparation and execution of plans that directly result in increased revenue of your assigned account base.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Maintain and grow business with existing key accounts
· Actively pursue new business opportunities and grow your account base
· Meet and exceed sales objectives
· Monitoring and reporting your progress to the inside sales manager and sales director Reporting on sales metrics and suggesting improvements
· Business development of new accounts
· Liaise with Marketing and Product Managers to ensure brand promotion and increase sales
· Large account management and development
· Cold calling of new potential customers required
· Strive to meet or exceed sales forecast and overall objectives
· Provide product quotes with pricing and availability independently to foster growth and profitability within their assigned account base
· Sourcing of product
· Ensure timely response to customer inquiries (i.e. RFQ, PO status, tracking, RMA, paperwork)
· Continue to develop and grow in product/market knowledge
· Assist in sales forecast activities and strive to meet sales objectives
· Data entry and accuracy required
· Troubleshoot with internal cross functional teams to achieve customer satisfaction
· Maintain knowledge of the distribution and wire/cable industry

- Basic understanding of Manufacturing and Production environment. Experience with Aerospace component distribution, preferably wire and cable
- Energetic, highly motivated, self-starter with strength in account management and business development
- Solid critical thinking skills to analyze information and develop creative approaches to problem solving
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and works effectively on the telephone, through email and written correspondence
- Self-motivated and performance driven with a sense of urgency and ability to multi-task
- Strong negotiation skills
- Financial understanding

- Able to build rapport with and enhance Carlisle IT relationships with customers
- Exceptional organization skills, detail-oriented approach and thorough in completing tasks
- Excellent computer skills. Experience with MRP system and MS Office programs is a must
- Able to work overtime and flexible hours to meet customer needs
- Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Dynamics
