We are partnering with a dynamic company seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to join their team. This position is responsible for supporting HR operations at a manufacturing facility, providing administrative assistance to ensure smooth HR processes and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process new hourly and salary hires, ensuring accurate and timely paperwork completion.
  • Administer worker’s compensation claims and maintain the OSHA log.
  • Collaborate with the insurance company, supervisors, and employees on worker’s comp claims.
  • Manage and maintain employee files, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Process unemployment claims and assist with employee screenings.
  • Handle general HR administrative duties such as answering telephones, data entry, and maintaining attendance records.
  • Work with supervisors and management on employee-related issues, including hiring, terminations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee monthly random drug testing and manage employee uniforms and related billing.
  • Administer benefits such as 401K, short- and long-term disability, FMLA, and medical/dental information.
  • Assist with benefits open enrollment and other HR-related processes.
  • Process changes in employee information, such as salary adjustments, deductions, garnishments, and address updates.


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or actively working toward one.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Quick thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Salary : $20 - $22
