Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping and Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Record financial transactions in accounting software.
Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
Assisting in Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Supporting Payroll Processing:Assist in processing employee payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions.
Maintain payroll records and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
Accounts Receivable and Payable:Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payments to vendors.
Assisting in Audit Preparation:
Assist in responding to auditor inquiries and providing necessary information and documents.
Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Assist in preparing and submitting tax returns, including sales taxes, payroll taxes, or other applicable taxes.
General Administrative Support:Assist in filing and maintaining financial documents and records.
Provide support to the finance team as needed.
Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
