A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN APPLIANCE MANAGER
As Appliance Manager, you direct the daily operations of the Appliance Service Team. In order to ensure profitability, you develop and monitor budgets, goals, and objectives. To promote favorable profit margins, you control the average ticket prices on services. You also control labor costs by eliminating unnecessary travel and non-productive time. Passionate about quality, safety, and customer service, you lead by example and inspire all technicians to take pride in their work. You provide technical and troubleshooting support for technicians, review work, and provide appropriate training.
As needed to meet workload demands and customer expectations, you recruit and hire top-notch technicians. Always approachable, you answer questions cheerfully and with the goal of helping everyone succeed. While you do spend a lot of time out in the field, you are also organized and keep on top of all your administrative duties. You also create revenue generation strategies and assist the company in securing more high-valued services. It takes both your technical and people skills to excel in this position. You get great satisfaction out of ensuring quality, profitability, happy team members, and satisfied clients!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLIANCE MANAGER
- 10 years of experience in residential appliance service and repairs
- Extensive experience in warranty work, safety, quality control, business development and customer care
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
