Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play an important role in managing the status of shipments, ensuring efficient transportation and inventory processes. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various trucking companies, shippers and receivers.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize transportation management systems to ensure timely delivery of shipments.
-Update company TMS software with all ETA & Tracking Information.
- Oversee vendor management processes, establishing strong relationships with suppliers to enhance service quality.
- Coordinate freight logistics, ensuring compliance with regulations and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide directions for contracted carriers that are moving our shipments when needed.
- Relay urgent shipment status updates to the corresponding account manager.
- Conduct root cause analysis for any logistical issues, developing solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Assist in planning by analyzing shipment data and forecasting potential needs.
- Monitor company load board for new loads that are in need of attention.
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems and software programs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data effectively.
- Experience in freight coordination is a plus.
- Knowledge of materials handling best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in root cause analysis.
- Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
