Carteret Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Technician II-Construction Specialist position. Salary Range: $38,000 - $42,000 commensurate with experienceApplications will be accepted through February 19, 2025.The Maintenance Technician II – Construction Specialist performs skilled maintenance and repairs including general plumbing, electrical, and carpentry as needed to maintain College Facilities.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Performs all types of preventative maintenance and repairs to facilities and equipment as it relates to specialized systems with area of expertise of carpentry.Duties to include installation of wood and metal stud walls, drywall, ceiling and grid, flooring, painting, doors and hardware, and general construction finishes.Responsible for periodic reports, inspections, inventory and time sheet. Participates in storm preparedness & clean-up, and snow and ice removal, coordinating with key stakeholders as appropriate.Assists in moving furniture, college event set-ups, take-downs and cleanup.Responds to emergencies during off-duty hours as needed. Maintains hard and permeable campus surfaces as appropriate.Serve on College committees and task forces as assigned.Attend required campus events including graduation, professional development, & employee meetings.Perform other duties as assigned
