We are seeking an admissions coordinator to assist us in client enrollment processes at our program. Admissions Coordinator Requirements
In order to be considered for the Admissions Coordinator position, you will need:
- Valid Driver's License
- Direct Care Experience
- HS Diploma or higher, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- To be highly organized with strong computer literacy
Admissions Coordinator Responsibilities
- Oversees admissions processes of the facility in an organized and professional manner.
- Perform admissions pre-screen assessments with clients over the phone
- Maintain a detailed record of all admissions inquiries and follow up accordingly
- Collect and update patient information in the electronic medical records system
- Assist with insurance verification and billing processes
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies
- Manage and process intakes
- Participates in Treatment Team Meetings as needed
- Ensures compliance with DHHS & Joint Commission requirements.
- Ensures patient confidentiality in compliance with 42CFR, Part 2.
- Stay in close communication with clinical team to determine treatment recommendations
- Assist with discharge planning and documentation, which includes:
- Follow up with Clinical Director/Providers to confirm discharge plans
- Coordinate for client’s transition and follow-up care, if applicable.
- Contacting Clinical Director for additional suggestions or recommendations to assist in redirecting client.
- Exercise sound professional judgment and seek/accept feedback and support as necessary.
- Protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with privacy policies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a health care provider.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Previous experience in mental substance abuse/medical field preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortability answering phones and making outgoing calls as needed
- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems
- Basic knowledge of substance abuse terminology and insurance processes preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
