We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth by providing excellent customer service, managing customer inquiries, generating quotes, and assisting in the order process for our high-quality valve products. You will work closely with both internal teams and external customers to ensure timely and efficient processing of orders, fostering long-term relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the business
Responsibilities
Customer Interaction:
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or online channels regarding valve products and services.
- Provide product information, technical specifications, and support to customers, ensuring they receive accurate and timely responses.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to understand their needs and encourage repeat business.
Sales Support:
- Prepare and process quotes for customers based on their specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with the sales team and engineering to ensure accurate pricing, lead times, and product availability.
- Assist in managing customer accounts and tracking sales opportunities.
Order Processing:
- Review and process customer orders in an accurate and timely manner.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and inventory teams to ensure on-time delivery and proper fulfillment of orders.
- Handle any order discrepancies or customer complaints, working to resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction.
Market Research & Product Knowledge:
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor products, and new technologies in the valve manufacturing space.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer needs, preferences, and market trends.
Sales Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, quotes, and sales orders in the company CRM system.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and assist in meeting sales targets.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the external sales team, engineering, and production departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in regular team meetings and provide input on process improvements and sales strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience in sales or customer service preferred.
- 2 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or technical sales, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector (valve or related industries a plus).
- Strong technical knowledge of valve products, applications, and industry standards is preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer or phone.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
