Your Job
Trinity Sales and Rental is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Administrative clerk that is motivated and willing to learn to join our Finance team. This role combines a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, Accounts Payable, Administrative, and Quality Control tasks. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data entry, Customer Service and keen attention to detail.
What You Will Do
- Assist Accountant with Accounts Payable tasks, including analyzing invoices for accuracy, processing vendor invoices for timely payments, and assisting in payment generation and processing
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies or disputes
- Conduct Accounts Receivable invoice audits to verify accuracy on outgoing invoices
- Manage the credit application process, including sending applications to customers, following up with references, and recommending credit limits or acceptance
- Maintain and track Certificates of Insurance (COIs), notifying customers of expirations and requesting updates or new COIs
- Manage customer Tax Exemption Certificates, including receiving, requesting, and updating information in the processing software
- Handle collection communications with customers and escalate accounts as needed
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed
Who You Are (Qualifications)
- Experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365, including advanced Excel skills (spreadsheet creation editing, data manipulation, analysis and formula creation) with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
- Reliable and supportive team member
- High school diploma required
What Will Put You Ahead
- Accounting experience or background
- Experience with Dext and (QBO)
- Knowledge of or experience in the rental equipment industry
- Knowledge of or experience with Retailer Tax Laws
- Experience with Collections
