The Business Planning Manager will report to the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis and will oversee planning & forecasting for Casper’s eCommerce, Retail Store, and Wholesale channels. They will partner closely with the respective channel leaders to maximize sales and profitability. The Business Planning Manager will be instrumental in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on all business lines. They will be responsible for facilitating the growth of our owned channels by helping to develop profitable revenue targets that align with the Company’s goals. They will develop and implement tools that provide planning infrastructure, process, and reporting to the channel leaders for scale.

Targeted Annual Base Salary Range for NYC: $118,000-135,000
Casper’s compensation philosophy ensures that the actual base salary is based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, experience, special training, time in position, and/or years of service.

When you’re not catching zzz’s, this is what you’ll do…
- Develop the annual revenue budget by month at location / product level
- Own monthly revenue reforecast by working closely with channel leaders, Operations, and Finance to accurately forecast revenue, promotional cadence, and channel margin down to product level
- Partner with the Operations team by providing accurate revenue forecasts to ensure channel inventory needs are met
- Propose and establish pricing for existing and new product lines across eCommerce, Retail Stores, and Wholesale partners
- Monitor and perform margin analysis on all existing products and potential promotional opportunities
- Analyze potential new product launches to identify risks and opportunities to help the business achieve topline and margin goals
- Develop hindsight reporting by season including final product selling, classification selling, SKU counts, and price bands
- Partner with channels to develop assortment strategies by channel and geo to further drive opportunity
- Drive deep dive product analysis by channel to support future business strategy
- Standardize weekly/monthly business reporting for sell through results for both product and location selling
- Manage and develop a team of three
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 6 years retail planning experience with a global brand
- Experience managing and mentoring direct reports
- Ability to balance analytics with product and market trends
- Advanced skills in retail math; sales, gross margin, return on investment (ROI), weeks of supply (WOS), turn, etc. and how to impact them
- Expert Excel skills, experience with planning tools, JD Edwards, or Adaptive are a plus
- Ability to build and maintain positive and productive relationships with peers and cross-functional teams
- Manages multiple projects while prioritizing and meeting deadlines
- Able to present business strategies and action plans to all levels of management
