Job Description
Cass Concrete is seeking a Commercial Concrete Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and coordinating concrete construction projects, with experience in using takeoff software and collaborating with vendors and suppliers.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Performing detailed concrete takeoffs using project plans and specifications to estimate material quantities and costs.
- Setting up new projects in Procore and QuickBooks, ensuring all documentation and systems are ready for smooth execution.
- Collaborating with vendors and suppliers for material procurement, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Assisting with project coordination tasks, including scheduling, resource allocation, and communication between project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
Requirements for this role include:
- Experience in estimating concrete work and performing takeoffs is required.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil and structural plans to produce accurate takeoffs is essential.
- Previous experience using takeoff software such as ProEst or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
