We are seeking a motivated and experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our team.
Job Description:
The Estimator/Project Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate project estimates, performing detailed takeoffs, and supporting job setup and coordination.
This role requires an individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while managing multiple tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed concrete takeoffs using project plans and specifications to estimate material quantities and costs.
- Set up new projects in Procore and QuickBooks, ensuring all documentation and systems are ready for smooth execution.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for material procurement, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Assist with project coordination tasks, including scheduling, resource allocation, and communication between project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
- Proactively monitor project timelines and budgets, providing regular updates and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Support project managers with documentation, tracking project performance, and maintaining accurate records.
- Utilize takeoff software such as ProEst to improve efficiency and accuracy in the estimating process.
Qualifications:
- Experience in estimating concrete work and performing takeoffs is required.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil and structural plans to produce accurate takeoffs is essential.
- Previous experience using takeoff software such as ProEst or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Experience in construction project management, including setting up jobs in Procore and QuickBooks, is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, maintaining accuracy and focus under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with construction management software.
