IT Systems Administrator
Castelion is seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator with deep knowledge and broad experience across Microsoft-based technologies, combined with expertise in networking and Linux environments. As a member of the Information Technology team, you will support critical systems and the dynamic Castelion team in developing cutting-edge missile systems. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, is a self-starter, and brings creativity and technical ingenuity to excel in this role.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Castelion IT leadership, engineers, and corporate staff to gather requirements, research, design, plan, deploy, and support enterprise software platforms and related technologies.
Build resilient, high-performance, scalable, and flexible systems to support engineering and business operations.
Support and implement enterprise IT standards to air-gapped and high-security environments.
Proactively own the processes, systems, and tools you develop, supporting mission-critical operations.
Recommend, justify, and implement system improvements following change control best practices.
Work with cross-functional teams to design creative solutions and resolve issues efficiently.
Define, document, and implement standards and best practices for systems design, testing, and deployment.
Leverage scripting and automation to address and resolve common IT challenges.
Provide responsive on-site and remote technical support as needed to staff members.
Proactively write and maintain high quality internal IT documentation, guides, and end-user help articles.
Basic Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in IT systems and / or network administration.
- Proficiency in building, maintaining, and mass deploying custom software packages to the enterprise.
- Experience with networking technologies (firewall, routing, switching, wireless)
- Proficiency in managing Windows and / or Linux servers in virtual and / or physical enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in identity management, authentication methods, and user provisioning systems.
- Experience with core foundational technologies such as Active Directory (or equivalent), DNS, DHCP.
- Experience applying modern cybersecurity best practices throughout.
- Proficiency in scripting with tools like PowerShell, Python, Bash, or equivalent.
