About the Role
As a Product Intern at Cantaloupe, you will work with our product and engineering teams to develop innovative solutions for the unattended retail market. You will gain hands-on experience in product management, data analysis, and user-centered design for our cashless payment systems, IoT devices, and enterprise software.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in product research and competitive analysis to identify market trends in self-service commerce (vending, micromarkets, kiosks). Present insights on emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitors.
- Gather insights from customer interviews, surveys, and support tickets to improve the product.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and product backlog grooming sessions.
- Work with engineering, UX, and stakeholders to write clear and concise product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze user feedback and data from Cantaloupe’s platforms to propose feature improvements.
- Create mockups or wireframes for UI/UX enhancements to our dashboard or mobile apps.
- Support go-to-market efforts for new products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define success metrics and track product performance.
- Document processes and present findings to cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Interest in fintech, IoT, or SaaS products (experience with payment systems is a plus).
- Analytical skills: Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Prior internship or project experience in product management, UX, or business analysis is a bonus.
