About the Job

We are seeking an Assistant Director of Merchandise to collaborate with our VP in managing all aspects of daily merchandise production across multiple teams. This role involves overseeing the entire merchandise and product development pipeline, from art to inventory to e-commerce. You will also lead and support the creation of new merchandise and you will manage a talented team, ensuring smooth execution of all daily tasks.

What You'll Do

• Work closely with the VP and President to oversee all production across multiple channels.
• Manage production staff including coaching and evaluating performance.
• Collaborate with the upper management to ensure that the merchandise meets their vision
• Monitor the merchandise quality and ensure that all requirements are met
• Resolve any merchandise-related issues in a timely and professional manner
• Be willing to jump into any section of the pipeline to help solve set-backs or create plan B’s
• Assist with any and all duties and needs of the daily product development processes

What We're Looking For

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as merchandising, business 
• 5 years of experience in the merchandise, product development or apparel production industry 
• Strong leadership and management skills, as they are responsible for leading and supervising a merchandise or production team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as they must be able to work effectively with a wide range of people in all levels of the company.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
• Creativity and problem-solving skills, as a director of production must be able to adapt to changing circumstances and find solutions to challenges that may arise during the production process.
• Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools, such as Photoshop, Premier, and more
• Able to relocate to Austin, Texas

Salary : $90,000
