Our growing local construction company seeks go-getter Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team immediately. #1--Candidate must have experience with Trimble's Viewpoint Vista. Also, the ideal candidate should have excellent data entry skills, experience with invoice processing, reconciliations, and great interpersonal & customer service skills. If you have previous experience in accounts payable, particularly in the construction industry, we would like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Accounts Payable Specialist will join the accounting team to assist the Accounting Manager in ensuring the accurate & timely payment of all invoices, and other related accounting matters
Responsibilities:
- Daily posting of vendor invoices
- Reconcile credit card, gas card, and vendor statements
- Handle and research vendor's inquiries on credits, disputed items, and invoicing problems
- Work closely with field personnel and project managers regarding invoice approvals
- Experience processing lien waiver releases, NTOs and bonds a must
Requirements:
- Experience with accounting software, Viewpoint Vista a must
- Impeccable data entry skills
- Experience processing lien waiver releases, NTOs and bonds
- Comfortable with math and calculations
- Good listening and communication skills with attention to detail
- Comfortable with speaking on the phone with vendors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel, in particular)
- Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience (5 years minimum)
- Familiarity with the construction industry necessary
- Bilingual Spanish helpful
