Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, this support position will be responsible for performing tasks such as repairs and cleaning of the facilities. This position will also be responsible for applying basic repairs to equipment, building systems, and ensuring facilities are tidy and functional.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the Facilities Manager in performing minor repairs
Conduct general maintenance repairs and facility tasks
- Follow safe work practices and guidelines
- Perform basic shop arithmetic
- Maintain facilities, shop, and storage sites in a clean and orderly condition
- Secure facilities, equipment, and property as needed
- Performs a wide variety of prevention maintenance, repairs and services
- Operate, maintain, and repair a variety of hand and power tools and equipment in a safe manner
- Respond to Maintenance request in a prompt and courteous manner
- Pick up yard waste, pull weeds, and debris
- Shoveling snow
- Lifting heavy items
- Moving furniture
Undertake occasional custodial and janitorial tasks as needed
- Ensuring spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
- Sweeping, mopping floors, and vacuuming carpets
- Wipe mirrors and windows
- Maintain outer premises
- Clean entrances
- General landscaping
Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:
This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving items or performing other work sometimes requiring heavy physical exertion, talking, and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 90% of the time.
Non-Physical Requirements:
Education
- High School Diploma preferred but not required or General Equivalency diploma (GED)
Experience
- 1 years experience in related maintenance
- Equivalent combination of education or experience sufficient to successfully perform essential duties
