Full-time position available to work with participants of the Offender Success program in Jackson and Hillsdale County. The Re-Entry Housing and Resource Case Manager assists returning citizens who are currently on parole to ensure a successful transition from prison to the community through proactive and professional support. This position develops and coordinates resources in collaboration with, Parole and Michigan Department of Corrections as well as community partners, to address the unique needs of each returning citizen. This position manages the transitional housing units for assigned counties and works with clients to find sustainable employment. Housing and Resource Case Manager will work with a diverse group of people, many of whom have disabilities, substance use disorder histories, and other special needs. Active collaboration with the Community Coordinator, CCWC program staff, field agents, local landlords, and other local agencies will be required to effectively coordinate services and communication across providers, increase client engagement, and improve client outcomes.
Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree with relevant human service college coursework, one year experience in related field or combination of education and experience in related field preferred. Other experience includes but is not limited to providing supportive services to returning citizens, including individuals with disabilities, substance use disorder histories, low-income, and unhoused populations. Knowledge of the resources and geography of the assigned county/counties is preferred. Must be available to work at the Washtenaw office as needed.
