Overview:
The Adult Ministry Groups Coordinator is responsible for nurturing missionary disciples of Jesus within the adult community. This highly relational role supports Small Group and Fellowship Group leaders, fostering a culture of evangelization and discipleship. Key responsibilities include coordinating small and fellowship groups, organizing parish-wide evangelistic events, and other initiatives outlined by parish leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:
Small Groups Coordination (Including Discipleship Groups, Alpha Groups, Bible Studies, Catechesis Groups, Prayer & Devotional Groups, and other Small Groups)
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to Small Group Leaders, ensuring smooth operations and addressing needs.
- Equip leaders with necessary resources, including the Groups App and room reservations.
- Assist leaders in selecting content that aligns with Catholic teachings.
- Manage small group sign-ups and participant lists using Planning Center Online Groups software.
- Mentor and support Discipleship Group Leaders through regular meetings.
- Promote and market small groups to increase engagement and participation.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and coach new Small Group Leaders.
- Develop, lead, and evaluate Small Group Leader training programs (Equip), covering policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Establish measurable goals and assess small group effectiveness using key metrics.
Fellowship Groups Support (Supporting groups such as Men’s Club, Women’s Club, Knights of Columbus, Columbiettes, Moms’ Group, Women’s Circle of Friends, 60 Fellowship)
- Ensure fellowship group events are scheduled on the parish calendar and approved by necessary leadership.
- Onboard and train fellowship group leaders on policies, resources, procedures, vision, and best practices.
- Guide event leaders in planning their events, ensuring alignment with parish policies, resources, and best practices.
- Provide ongoing support to leaders in maintaining operations and addressing challenges.
Assist with room reservations, resource allocation, and other logistical needs. - Ensure group activities align with Catholic teachings and the parish mission.
- Help groups develop sustainable processes for recruiting, onboarding, training, and mentoring new leaders.
- Collaborate with leaders to set goals and measure missional impact.
Parish-Wide Adult-Related Kerygmatic Events (Examples: Parish Lenten Mission, Parish Mission Trip, Special Guest Speaker/Worship Nights)
- Collaborate with parish leadership and the Adult Ministry team to define event goals and direction, ensuring alignment with adult-related parish initiatives.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers, speakers, and facilitators to ensure smooth event execution.
- Oversee event planning, including developing timelines, managing budgets, securing contracts, coordinating marketing and registration, organizing volunteers, ensuring Safe Environment compliance, and handling risk management.
Administrative & Organizational Support
- Collaborate with the Director of Ministry and Adult Ministry team to determine budget needs.
- Coordinate annual Adult Ministry kick-off campaigns.
- Maintain program calendars and Adult Ministry-related website content.
- Contribute to the annual Adult Ministry vision and planning.
General Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other departments and ministries for cross-promotion and integration (e.g., Young Adult Ministry, OCIA, Children’s Parent Support).
- Meets one-on-one with parishioners and ministry participants to better invite them into the community and mission of the parish.
- Stay informed on best practices in evangelization and discipleship.
- Attend staff meetings, diocesan training, and parish retreats.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in evangelization, discipleship, and small group ministry.
- Practical knowledge of Catholic teachings and pastoral ministry.
- Active Roman Catholic in communion with the Church, living out its teachings and precepts.
- Bachelors degree preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
