Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, service, and repair a variety of timepieces, including quartz, mechanical, and automatic watches.
- Perform battery replacements, movement servicing, crystal and strap replacements, and case refinishing.
- Conduct water resistance testing and adjustments to ensure proper functionality.
- Disassemble, clean, and lubricate watch movements, replacing worn or damaged components as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Provide expert advice to customers on maintenance and care of their timepieces.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Operate and maintain specialized watchmaking tools and equipment.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, new watch technologies, and repair techniques.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Watch Technician, Watchmaker, or in a related role.
- Certification from a recognized institution (e.g., WOSTEP, SAWTA, or AWCI) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of watch movements, mechanisms, and repair techniques.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work with delicate components and specialized tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Experience working with luxury or high-end brands is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Location: Onsite in Metairie, Louisiana.
- Work Schedule:
- Tuesday through Saturday.
- Closed Sunday and Monday.
- Core hours: 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
- Specialized Training: The selected candidate will undergo training with a leading luxury watch brand.
