About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper (Full Changed Bookkeeper - Business and owners Personal). The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. Must be hands on, not a delegator. You'll be representing us in the community, building relationships with key partners. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and provide support for tax accountants
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making

Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
- Handle bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning.
- Maintain accurate records using accounting software such as Quicken or Sage.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently.
- Generate financial reports for management review, including income statements and cash flow analysis.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role in public accounting.
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and overall accounting principles.
- Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with tax preparation and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards is essential for this position.
- Experience with accounting software such as Quicken or Sage is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
