Conveniently located in Rockville, MD, we endeavor to ensure that each child is a happy and confident learner, each parent is amazed at their child’s learning outcomes, and each team member is proficient in their field.
We are currently searching for a part-time Receptionist and Administrative Assistant.
The Receptionist and Administrative Assistant will report directly to the Dean of Studies and work concurrently as the Receptionist, providing support to the Dean of Studies in managing the school’s day-to-day operations and enhancing the school’s visibility and public image.
Working hours: 9:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday OR 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities and Duties
- Take care of the front desk
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Plan meetings and take detailed minutes
- Assist in the preparation of important reports
- Assist in updating the school’s social media, newsletter and website
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Provide general support to visitors and clients
- Provide general support to all students and colleagues
- Act as the point of contact for students, faculty and staff
- Be willing to take up additional responsibilities whenever needed
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; additional qualification (e.g. Photoshop) as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, or Office Admin Assistant, or a Receptionist
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment, e.g., printers and fax machines
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
- Social Media competency
- Independent mobility
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Team spirit
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Preparedness for taking up additional responsibilities whenever needed
