What You Will Do: The IVF Nurse Coordinator (RN) is responsible for providing individualized nursing care to CCRM’s fertility patients. This position collaborates closely with the physicians to coordinate patient care and treatment and consult with patients regarding treatment protocols, medications, and/or required testing procedures. The IVF Nurse Coordinator is expected to function independently in the role as well as in a team environment, seeking assistance from the physicians, manager and team members as needed.
- Review medical records of each patient to ensure appropriate data is entered in EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Coordinate all infertility diagnostic tests and treatment plans with patients.
- Assure accountability for infertility/IVF patients each day, including ultrasounds, lab tests, physician orders, and other related items.
- Communicate with patients regarding medication, treatment plans, and test results.
- Perform intrauterine inseminations, as directed.
- Input patient plans, patient interactions, and orders into EMR.
- Schedule and coordinate with surgery/front desk ART scheduling, ensuring all consents are signed in a timely manner.
- Verify all communicable disease testing is complete, accurate, and appropriate.
- Educate patients on procedures, infertility testing, insemination, in vitro (IVF) fertilization, FET, and egg vitrification, etc.
- Monitor established pregnancies via ultrasonography and lab tests, through the first 8-12 weeks of pregnancy (annotated in EMR).
- Provide support to each patient throughout their CCRM Journey.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, from an accredited school of nursing required.
- Current State Registered Nurse license (without limitations).
- Active BCLS/ACLS certification.
- 2 years of previous experience in women’s health, fertility, OB/GYN, preferred.
- 3 years of previous nursing experience in other RN roles preferred.
