CCS Presentation Systems is an industry leader in custom AV solutions and pro AV technology systems integration. Established in 1991 and operates 23 branches across the United States. CCS is seeking an AV Installer for our growing Columbia MD based team.
Job Summary
The AV Technician is directly responsible for all installation aspects of assigned projects. There is considerable client contact as well as daily updating required which makes communication skills imperative for this position. This individual must work closely with the Lead AV Technician and Project Manager on each project to ensure succes.
This is an entry-level position; AV installation experience is preferred but not required.
This is a non-exempt, non-supervisory position reporting to the Project Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation and mounting of audiovisual equipment, including displays, projectors, speakers, cameras, and control systems
- Assist in the assembly and organization of equipment racks, ensuring proper ventilation and cable routing
- Assist with basic programming and configuration of AV control systems under the guidance of experienced technicians
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines duties assigned as needed
- Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Support the AV project team in testing and quality checks to ensure that installed systems meet performance standards
- Assist with the routing and termination of audio and video cables, ensuring neat and efficient cable management
Skills and Abilities
- Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleagues
- Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to work and think independently towards meeting project deadlines and troubleshooting
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, willingness to learn other software and databases
- Take initiative in continual education as it pertains to the AV industry
Education and/or Experience
- 1 year AV experience preferred; previous experience in a related field is a plus· Basic understanding of audiovisual technology and equipment is a plus
- Strong work ethic (punctual, dependable, etc.)
- Team player
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials (up to 50 pounds)
- Technical or vocational training in electronics is a plus

Required License or certifications

Work Hours
Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in and around the DMV to support customer accounts. Overnight travel may be required on occasion. Reliable transportation a must.
