Position Summary: 

The Surveillance Center Supervisor is responsible for the daily oversight of the agency’s Surveillance Center and partners with the security team to protect CCSN personnel, property, and visitors.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand, implement, and enforce company policies and procedures established by Human Resources and the VP of Operations.
  • Assign duties to Surveillance Center operators.  Keep operators updated on policy changes.
  • Responsible for ensuring staff are scheduled for optimum coverage, including breaks.
  • Supervise surveillance operators to ensure they represent the organization professionally and respectfully. The SOC supervisor will oversee all surveillance personnel's activities to ensure all job functions are completed safely and on time.
  • Responsible for key and access controls, including administering access levels for key cards.
  • Track and keep an inventory of all keys, radios, handcuffs, and OC spray movement.
  • Audit all surveillance cameras and panic alarm stations on campus and at MOW. Coordinate with contractors to maintain and repair surveillance cameras and the IVMS system.
  • Review incident reports generated by surveillance officers for correct information, grammar, and spelling and to ensure reports were transmitted.
  • Update and maintain CCSN employee information on the ITrak system as an administrator.
  • Generate performance metrics as directed by the Assistant Director of Security.
  • Participate in the interviewing and hiring process with the Assistant Director.
  • Provide new operator training and re-training as necessary.
  • Partner with the Assistant Director of Security to prepare and administer performance counseling and evaluations.
  • Responsible for appraising CCSN management members for any serious incidents on campus.
  • Will execute all directives given by the Director respectfully and diligently.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new procedures and processes.
  • Responsible for assisting with investigations of misdoings and damages to agency personnel, property, and all clients who may reside or visit the CCSN campus.  Conduct video reviews in support of investigations as requested by HR and/or security leadership.
  • Will protect all confidential information, company property, and electronic data.
  • Will ensure all clients and employees are dealt with fairly, consistently, and respectfully, including maintaining a polite and respectful tone in radio, phone, email, and face-to-face interactions. Hold surveillance officers accountable to the same standard.
  • The SOC Supervisor is expected to work across shifts, including swing and graveyard shifts, to ensure that all surveillance operators are regularly observed performing their job duties and given immediate feedback. The supervisor will act as an operator as the business's needs dictate.
  • All other duties assigned by Security Leadership.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience using CCTV and access control systems.
  • Ability to actively listen by giving full attention to what people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking appropriate questions, and respectfully not interrupting as information is conveyed.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute basic instructions.
  • Basic proficiency in computers and software, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking with logic to come to reasonable conclusions and alternatives in problem situations.
  • Ability to convey information effectively verbally.
  • Possess sound judgment and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to record information and transfer it to a basic written report.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and leadership skills.
  • Prioritize work and meet necessary deadlines. 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED/required. An associate’s degree in security administration, industrial security, criminal justice, or another related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education, is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of security experience is preferred. 
  • Experience working with and assisting Homeless clients.
  • Proficient in Customer Service and detail oriented. 
  • Must be 18 and possess a valid Nevada Identification or Driver’s License.
  • Flexible schedule to work after hours and weekends, as necessary.
  • Honesty, Integrity, and Trustworthiness are essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain alert and effective during the entire shift in a 24/7 environment that includes internal and external patrols in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to verbally communicate with clients, co-workers, and visitors to the campus.
  • Ability to operate and use office equipment, especially computer, keyboard, and mouse.
  • Ability to continuously sit and/or stand. Ability to climb stairs as needed.
  • May occasionally lift to 25 pounds.

This position pays $21.00 per hour.
