Lead Computer Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Manager to oversee our organization's information technology operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing IT projects, ensuring the integrity of our network infrastructure, and leading a team of IT professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of both hardware and software systems, as well as excellent project management skills to drive initiatives that enhance our technological capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the organization's WAN and LAN infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Oversee vendor management, including negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Analyze system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Lead IT projects from conception through execution, ensuring they align with business objectives and are completed on time.
• Administer Active Directory, managing user accounts, permissions, and security policies.
• Maintain databases by overseeing installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of database systems.
• Utilize Microsoft Word for documentation purposes related to IT policies, procedures, and project updates.
• Support Linux-based systems and ensure their reliability within the organization’s infrastructure.
• Manage Internet Information Services (IIS) for hosting applications and websites securely.

Skills

• Proficient in WAN and LAN technologies with hands-on experience in network management.
• Strong vendor management skills with the ability to negotiate contracts effectively.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess system performance and implement improvements.
• Proven project management experience with a track record of successful IT project delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory administration.
• Familiarity with database management systems and their operational requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word for creating technical documentation.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems in a professional environment.
• Knowledge of IIS for web hosting applications.

Pay: Up to $120,000.00 per year
