Cedar Sinai Park, Portland’s premier non-profit senior living community, is seeking an Administrator for Rose Schnitzer Manor Assisted Living, on the beautiful 27-acre Cedar Sinai Park campus.

Overview

The Administrator is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Rose Schnitzer Manor. Supervises financial operations; marketing program; planning, development, implementation and evaluation of program services; management of staff; and the delivery of services as determined by the policies of the Cedar Sinai Park Board.

Responsibilities include:

  • Resident Services - Oversees the screening of all residents for appropriateness of placement including physical conditions, financial condition, and emotional status, in cooperation with the Transitions Resident Experience Director. Assures the provision of high-quality services needed and/or desired by residents. Responsible for supporting and participating in the resident-centered activity program. Maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality. Demonstrates an appreciation of the heritage, values, and wisdom of the resident and an understanding of the aging process. Takes initiative to actively plan, develop, and implement expansion and/or innovation in program services.
  • Staff Management - Provides ongoing support, direction, supervision, and feedback regarding job performance of all program staff, including contracted staff and volunteers. Documents evaluation of performance. Actively promotes staff participation and involvement in the day-to-day operations and decision making. Promotes team building through participation and/or leadership at regular staff meeting. Responsible for ensuring that a safe and sanitary environment is provided for staff and consumers; makes efforts to reduce safety hazards, accidents, and injuries.
  • Relationship in Community – Maintains and demonstrates ethical conduct. Strives to attain excellence in resident engagement through ongoing solicitation and feedback, implementation of suggestions, and interactive problem solving. Makes measurable improvements in the overall coordination of all aspects of RSM’s standards and services. Attains and maintains ongoing compliance with all appropriate local, state, federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting body standards in regards to both residents, employees and all other aspects. Ensures that RSM is prepared for inspection by regulatory agencies through regular auditing and updating of program policies and procedures, medical records, environmental standards, training, etc.
  • Financial Management -Monitors, on a routine and ongoing basis, key measurable indicators of the daily operations. Prepares and administers the annual budget. Monitors and maintains cost control. Attains and/or maintains the targeted occupancy level.

Qualifications include:

The ideal candidate for this position is an assisted living administrator with a sound background and a commitment to quality elder care.

A minimum of 5 years of assisted living, health, human services, and/or community services in a field in a senior level management position.

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree preferably in an applicable field and a current Oregon ALF/RCF Administrators License in good standing. Knowledge or ability to learn applicable Jewish customs and practices and committed to the continuity of the Jewish community and experience for our Jewish residents.
