SCREENING OF APPLICANTS BEGINS IMMEDIATELY AND CONTINUES UNTIL POSITION IS FILLED
POSITION SUMMARY:
Answers all incoming phone call to CSH and provides clerical support to other Departments of the hospital.Communicate all messages accordingly. Commincate with Assessment and Referal Department for walk-in and scheduled patient arrivals including initial paperwork and assessment packets. Monitor lobby area and surronding camera dispays for patient activity. Receive incoming mail/deliveries. Receive and dispatch patient belongings brought from outside facility. Call CODES over overhead paging system and radio. Schedule mandatory training on Master log. Follow HIPPA guidelines outlined in Reception Guide. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Position requires sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Occasionally lifts up to 10 pounds and carries small objects from waist to chest.
- Must be able to type.
- Ability to distinguish telephone rings and to hear and speak clearly over the telephone.
- Regularly needs to bend, stoop and reach.
- Must be able to speak, read and write.
- Emotional stability necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Vision and hearing sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
SKILLS:
Typing 50 wpm with knowledge of grammar, punctuation and spelling. Knowledge of general office equipment. Requires organizational, verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills, the ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions. Working knowledge of software programs such as Windows, Word, Excel, etc. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends as necessary.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED. Prefer previous clerical experience in a healthcare setting. Requires a minimum of one year clerical experience.
Staff Development Requirements:
Must meet or exceed hospital and regulatory agency training requirements.
Exposure Category: III
The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
